HINE TE RĒHIA
HINE TE RĒHIA is a devised bilingual theatre experience with song, dance, haka and text celebrating the movement of the atmosphere, the winds of change and the shifting vibrations of energy and light.
Devised, created and performed by an all female BIPOC cast, HINE TE RĒHIA has provided a platform for these young women to address themes, ideas and issues that affect them and the environment around them in today’s hectic world. Relevant, authentic and sometimes outrageous stories told through monologue and poetry, contemporary dance fused with hip-hop, vogue, traditional Pasifika siva and ura, poi and haka, and scattered with songs from Aotearoa.

KA’A is singer/songwriter Pati’s highly anticipated showcase of original music that explores Pasifika women and their bodies and their identity. Known for her boisterous online personality, Pati uses her authenticity to challenge the old-fashioned ideas that dominate Samoa culture.
Pati (formerly Disciple Pati) is a singer/songwriter who opened for The Beths in 2020, performed at Auckland Arts Festival in 2021, and won an award for the Best Pacific Music Video in 2021 for the song The Boy Who Cried Woman. She performed in Fala Muncher at Basement in August, and Over My Dead Body: UNINVITED during Auckland Pride in February 2021.
OVER MY DEAD BODY:
A flat-warming party on 30th November - the eve of World AIDS Day. Three strangers have turned up, uninvited. As they drag the skeletons out of the closet, the new tenants realise they are more intricately connected with the past than they ever imagined.
Inspired by the NZ Memorial AIDS Quilt Project, our people who lost their battle with HIV/AIDS are acknowledged and remembered.
This 2021 professional cast and creative team are proud members of the LGBTQi+ community, as we at Tuatara Collective believe it is important that we tell our own stories.

It is COVID19 lockdown - only essential services are allowed.
To keep up the demand of the panicked and chaotic shoppers who raid the store of essential items daily, a night-shift has been established by Fresh Choice management to restock the shelves.
4 South Auckland employees volunteer to take on these new shifts to avoid having to deal with crazy customers. However, they soon realise that dealing with crazy customers is far better than having to deal with each other for 9 hours straight.

A 2 hour extravaganza of vibrant, authentic Pasifika performance - song and dance from around the Pacific including traditional siva Samoa and contemporary (hip-hop, afro and vogue) spoken word, crack-up skits, a confronting monologue or two, and a bit of audience participation. Featuring a core cast of fierce Tuatara Collective talent and some special guest artists/groups, you will be blown away.

WITH THESE HANDS is a devised multilingual, multidisciplinary work that follows a young tuahine (girl) navigating her ‘special gift’ in a series of spiritual encounters. After a Western mental health disorder diagnosis, her ghosts are determined to ensure she rightfully is acknowledged as a tōhunga.
Featuring text in English, Te Reo Māori, Samoan - contemporary dance and hip-hop, Pasifika siva and taualuga, and haka - and the music of Ria Hall, Maisey Rika and other contemporary artists.
