TOIORA Māori Theatre & Wellbeing Wānanga Series

Jam-packed, 6-day Māori Theatre workshops integrated with Māori mindfulness practices, acting, dance, haka and waiata with some of Aotearoa’s finest tutors. Each wānanga programme culminates with epic showcase performances weaving tradition with contemporary mahi toi celebrating rangatahi Māori realities and Tauranga Moana pūrakau.

An exciting collaboration with Ahipoutu Collective, these wānanga provide opportunities for Tauranga Moana rangatahi (12-25 years) to fully realise their aspirations in the performing arts, building vital skills and techniques to tell our Māori stories authentically.
