PUKEHINAHINA the aftermath

PUKEHINAHINA the aftermath is a promenade-style theatre production - an immersive form of performance in which the audience moves through different theatrically-designed interactive experimental spaces to create a unique sensory experience.

2024 marks the 160th anniversary of the Battle of Gate Pā. This show explores how Māori have been affected by this battle over the years that followed, from some interesting nad different perspectives.

Directed and designed by Jason Te Mete of Tuatara Collective, collaborating with a team of highly experienced kaiako from Te Wharekura o Mauao.
