RĀTĀ PATHWAY

This programme combines artistic creation, cultural leadership development, wellbeing practices, festival presentation, and community engagement into a sustainable continuum of participation for emerging artists and audiences.

Rather than just delivering isolated projects, RĀTĀ PATHWAY establishes long-term creative infrastructure for Tauranga Moana, nurturing rangatahi from first engagement in the arts through to advanced performance, touring, leadership, mentorship, and professional pathways.

RĀTĀ PATHWAY consists of 3 anchor projects - HĀ ORA, HAU ORA and HE HAU HOU - and is grounded in kaupapa Māori and indigenous storytelling practices by embedding mātauranga Māori, tikanga, intergenerational knowledge sharing, collective wellbeing, and local whakapapa narratives throughout all creative activities.
